ADA Educational Site
The education website for IDEATel, developed by the American Diabetes Association (ADA), includes a collection of low-literacy diabetes information modules, an interactive quiz, and information about the ADA. Subject areas include basic information about Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Eating and Diabetes, Factors Affecting Blood Sugar, Checking Your Blood Sugar, Your Care Team, Changing Habits, Emotions and Diabetes, and Standards of Care. Each participant's progress is tracked in a database. The materials are in both English and Spanish and were designed at a literacy level of 7th grade level or lower.
