What is IDEATel?
IDEATel is a research study designed to test if a new technology can help people better manage their diabetes.
This new technology allows patients to:
- See and talk to diabetes nurses.
- Check their blood sugar and blood pressure.
- Learn more about their care.
ALL WITHOUT LEAVING THEIR HOMES!
Who is eligible to participate?
The project is limited to patients with diabetes who receive Medicare and are living in medically underserved
areas in New York City (primarily Northern Manhattan and the Bronx) and Rural New York State.

We are currently not enrolling new participants.
